EU stakeholder consultations

Consultation linked to the new H2020 Work Programme
In relation to the development of the new Work Programme 2018-2020 for Horizon 2020, the European Commission launched the consultation on Horizon 2020 Societal Challenge 2 - ‘Food Security, sustainable agriculture and forestry, marine and maritime and inland water research and the bioeconomy’.

The purpose of the consultation:
- to collect views and opinions on the strategy, scope, objectives, and expected impacts of the Horizon 2020 Societal Challenge 2 Work Programme 2018-2020;
- to provide the input to the Societal Challenge 2 Work Programme 2018-2020.

The EC process:
- Deadline
to respond is 28.08.2016
- Work Programme 2018-2020 for Societal Challenge 2 of H2020 will be developed between the last quarter 2016 and the first part of 2017

- Adoption of the new Work Programme is foreseen autumn 2017.

Vlakwa, in the frame of the WssTP network, is planning to contribute to WssTP response expressing the demand-driven R&I needs for water from Flanders also reflecting the priorities of Flanders Vision 2050 nota where water is one among the eight priorities for Flanders set up by Flemish government.  

Suggested action from your side: if you have identified your research needs for the period 2018-2020, we are inviting you to contribute to this consultation providing your input to Vlakwa.

Other relevant EU-wide consultation

European Commission is preparing the Communication on the EU position on the UN sustainable development goals. On this purpose the European Commission launched a stakeholder consultation on UN 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development  - Public Consultation on revising the European Consensus on Development.

Objective of the consultation:
Views from this consultation will be used to inform the way forward on the revision of the European Consensus on Development policy, in the context of EU external action and other external aspects of 2030 Agenda implementation.
