This innovative project involves the testing of the IVG-C cooling water treatment (a patented Vortex Process Technology ® already implemented in the Netherlands) on the evaporative condenser of Frima (specialized in frozen prepared meals and snack products). The implementation of this innovative technology has a great impact on the environment, the energy required as well as the maintenance of the plant.
Environment:
• Reducing lime / corrosion chemicals up to 100%
• Reduction of biocidal chemicals up to 95%
• Reduce wateruse condenser
Energy:
• Clean and maintain the condenser tubes by using IVG-C technology
• Optimize water distribution of the condenser
• Improvement of the cooling capacity of the cooling water for lower temperature condensate
Maintenance:
• Extended service life of the condenser
• Reducing and eliminating maintenance / pickling of the condenser
• Decrease consumption of softened water
In association with:
• Frima NV
• Pathema VOF
• KHBO
• VITO
Duration: 1 January 2013 – 31 December 31 2013
